Vayage ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Vayage app.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, display name, and authentication data (if you sign in with Google or Apple).
- Location data: your device's GPS location, used to show nearby places and provide navigation. We do not store your location history on our servers.
- Trip & itinerary data: destinations, saved spots, documents, and preferences you create in the app.
- Usage data: anonymous analytics to improve app performance and features.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and personalise the Vayage service.
- To generate AI-powered itineraries and recommendations.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. account verification).
- To improve the app based on usage patterns.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the app, including:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication.
- Mapbox — map rendering and geocoding.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Anthropic / OpenAI — AI itinerary generation (no personal identifiers are included in prompts).
4. Data security
All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS. Your account credentials are handled by Supabase and never stored in plain text.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can delete your account directly within the app (Profile → Delete Account), or contact us using the details below.
7. Children's privacy
Vayage is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email.

Your data, your choice.
You can delete your Vayage account and all associated data at any time, directly from within the app. No need to contact us.
How to delete your account in-app

Open Vayage
Launch the Vayage app on your device.

Go to your Profile
Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.

Open Settings
Scroll down and tap on Settings or Account.

Tap "Delete Account"
Confirm the deletion when prompted. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
- Your profile and account credentials.
- All trips, itineraries, and saved places.
- Uploaded documents and notes.
- App preferences and settings.
Can't access your account?
If you're unable to log in and need to request account deletion, please contact us and we'll process your request within 30 days.
